Kato Yasukage
(Japanese 1964-2012)
Kato Yasukage was from an important Mino potting family, becoming the fourteenth generation potter in his family. He studied in Bizen under Living National Treasure Yamamoto Toshu before returning to his home in Gifu. He specialised in Shino and green Oribe wares.
