Aneta Regel

(Polish b.1976)

Aneta Regel is a Polish born artist and graduate of the RCA, now living and working in London, whose ceramic practice centres on creating bold, volcanic, sculptural forms.

Aneta Regel's work is reflective of the natural world, creating an abstract interpretation with layered and tactile surfaces, and often incorporating crushed stones into the clay. She considers herself a sculptor who chooses clay as her medium. She is quoted, 'I create objects that exist neither in the natural nor in the manufactured world. But once brought into being, it is my intent that they can reflect and transmit information and feelings about nature—and indeed, my own as well as the viewer's own existence.'

Regel has exhibited globally including at the Tate Modern and Saatchi Gallery in London and in the United States, Belgium and Poland. Her work is held public collections in Korea, Germany, Sweden and the United States.
