PROVENANCE: Private Collection, Yorkshire. LITERATURE: Mary Rogers, 'On Pottery and Porcelain', Alphabooks 1984; p.102 item 10 for another example of this rare form. 'The combination of grooves and folds creates striking variations in translucency and enlivens the surface with texture and swirling patterns of light and shade.'
